Russian official: The resumption of US arms supplies to Ukraine will not change the situation on the front line

Leonid Slutsky, head of the Duma's international affairs committee, said the resumption of US missile supplies to Ukraine would be a step back but would not change the situation on the front lines. Mr. Slutsky said that if Mr. Trump really wanted to make progress in mediating the situation in Ukraine, he should "show his fist" to the Ukrainian authorities, rather than promising a second round of sanctions against Russia. He also said it was too early to talk about Russia's response because it was first necessary to clarify what equipment the US would provide to Ukraine.
