据CCTV国际时讯，特朗普当地时间7月14日上午在白宫会见到访的北约秘书长吕特。在谈及美国国会参议院正推进的一项对俄罗斯实施严厉制裁的新法案时，特朗普表示，“我不确定我们是否需要这个”。特朗普称，参议院一些共和党高层正在积极推进此事。他不希望他们“浪费时间”。但他同时也表示，“这可能很有用，我们拭目以待。”
