Wang Yi Meets with Canadian Foreign Minister Anand

On July 12, 2025, Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anand Anand in Kuala Lumpur at an appointment. Wang Yi stressed that there are no territorial disputes or geographical contradictions between China and Canada, and they can fully become partners of mutual achievement. The two sides should further implement the important consensus reached by the two prime ministers, view each other in a more objective and rational manner, and strengthen cooperation in a more positive and open spirit. China opposes generalizing national security and unreasonably suppressing Chinese enterprises, and hopes that the Canadian side will provide a good business environment for Chinese enterprises to invest and operate.
