Wang Yi Meets with Australian Foreign Minister Huang Yingxian

On July 12, 2025, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Australian Foreign Minister Huang Yingxian in Kuala Lumpur. Wang Yi said that in the past three years, China-Australia relations have stabilized, turned around and achieved positive results, which proves that as long as the partnership is adhered to the correct positioning, bilateral relations can develop steadily and achieve continuous results. The Australian side pursues a rational and pragmatic policy towards China, which is in line with the interests of both countries and the trend of the times. The Chinese side is willing to work with the Australian side to prepare for the next stage of high-level exchanges, maintain the momentum of improvement, properly manage differences, and promote the development of China-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership with a more positive attitude. The two sides also exchanged views on issues such as the South China Sea and the Ukraine crisis.
