Bitzlato co-founder pleads guilty and asks for US presidential pardon

Anatoly Legkodymov, a Russian citizen and former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange Bitzlato, has asked U.S. President Donald Trump for a federal pardon after pleading guilty in 2023 and serving 18 months in prison.
According to Russian state media TASS on Friday, Legodimov's legal team formally requested a presidential pardon from Trump after he pleaded guilty in December 2023. Legodimov was indicted in January 2023, pleaded guilty in December 2023, and was sentenced in July 2024 to a sentence already served, having spent about 18 months in custody.
