Microsoft: AI saved the company more than $500 million last year

In a speech this week, Judson Altov, chief business officer of Microtek, said AI tools can improve productivity in everything from sales to Client Server to software engineering, according to a person familiar with the matter. Still, AI saved Microsoft more than 500 million dollars last year in call centers alone and improved employee and customer satisfaction, the person said. Altov said the company is also starting to use artificial intelligence to handle interactions with small customers. The effort is just getting started, but has already generated tens of millions of dollars in revenue, he said.
