Trump sends tariff letters to 8 more countries, Brazil faces 50% tariffs

On July 9 local time, US President Trump released letters to the leaders of eight countries about the imposition of tariffs on the social media platform "Real Social", including: Brazil, the Philippines, Brunei, Moldova, Algeria, Iraq, Libya and Sri Lanka. Among them, Trump said that 50% tariffs will be imposed on Brazil, Libya, Iraq, Algeria and Sri Lanka will be subject to 30% tariffs, Brunei and Moldova will be subject to 25% tariffs, and the Philippines will be subject to 20% tariffs. The new tax rate will take effect from August 1. Trump has sent tariff letters to 22 countries.
