US stocks closed: Nasdaq rose nearly 1%, Coinbase rose more than 5%

U.S. stocks closed Wednesday with the Dow up 0.49 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.6 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.94 percent. NVIDIA (NVDA. O) rose 1.8 percent, failing to hold on to a historic $4 trillion market cap. Coinbase (COIN. O) rose more than 5 percent, Futu Holdings (FUTU. O) rose 9 percent and Apple (AAPL. O) rose 0.5 percent.
