Financial marekt participants have again pushed back expectations for the end of the Fed's balance sheet reduction process, according to minutes released by the Federal Reserve on Wednesday. The minutes show that large banks and money funds informed the Fed ahead of the June 17-18 FOMC meeting that they expect the reduction of their balance sheet to stop in February, when the size of the balance sheet will be reduced to $6.20 trillion. This is slightly different from the expectations made by respondents before the May FOMC meeting, when they expected the Fed to end its balance sheet reduction in January and the size of the balance sheet will be reduced to $6.125 trillion.
