According to Cryptonews, the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C., has asked the U.S. State Department to provide Moscow with an update on the situation of Dmitry Vasiliev, the former CEO of cryptocurrency exchange WEX.
The Russian state news agency Tass reported that the embassy had made a formal request to the State Department. The embassy said it was "closely monitoring the situation of Dmitry Vasiliev" and asked the State Department to provide information on Vasiliev's location, health and procedural status as soon as possible.
Previously, it was reported that Poland arrested the former CEO of Russia's CEX WEX and will extradite him to the United States.
