According to the Korea Intellectual Property Office on July 9, Woori Bank, one of the five largest commercial banks in South Korea, applied for 12 stablecoin trademarks including "WKRW", "KRWOORI", "WONKR" and "CKRW" on July 7, involving cryptocurrency financial transactions and cryptocurrency electronic transfer services.
So far, all five major financial holding companies in South Korea have held stablecoin trademarks at the level of affiliated companies or holding companies.
