BlackRock IBIT holdings break through 700,000 bitcoins

BlackRock's IBIT fund currently holds 700,307 bitcoins, worth about $75.50 billion, after recording a net inflow of $164.60 million on Monday, according to Apollo co-founder Thomas Fahrer.
According to BlackRock's official iShares website, IBIT held 698,919 bitcoins as of last Thursday, meaning the fund added 1,388 bitcoins in two trading days. According to Bitbo data, IBIT accounts for more than 55% of the total holdings of all bitcoin spot ETFs in the United States.
Since its launch in January 2024, the fund has delivered a total return of 82.67 per cent. The bitcoin holding milestone comes amid reports that BlackRock's IBIT revenues have surpassed those of its flagship product, the iShares Core S & P 500 ETF.
