Trump announces tariffs of up to 40% on five countries

On July 8, President Trump announced that the United States will impose 25% tariffs on Malaysia and Kazakhstan, 30% tariffs on South Africa, and 40% tariffs on Laos and Myanmar effective August 1. Earlier, the White House said that Trump would sign an executive order to postpone the tariff negotiation deadline to August 1.
