Spot gold fell below the $3,300 mark

Spot gold fell $10 short-term to break through the $3,300/ounce mark for the first time since June 30, down 1.15% in the day. Gold futures in New York fell more than 1% in the day to $3,309.20 an ounce. Silver futures in New York fell 2% in the day to $36.34 an ounce.
