Deloitte survey: British companies lose interest in investing in the United States

According to a Deloitte survey released on Monday, the attractiveness of the United States as an investment destination has fallen sharply in the eyes of British business executives, who are now more optimistic about opportunities in their home and surrounding markets. The Deloitte survey of chief financial officers of large UK companies shows that only + 2% of respondents consider the United States an attractive investment destination, a significant decrease from + 59% in late 2024 (shortly before Trump took office). In contrast, Deloitte said that British business executives' interest in their home market has increased significantly, with the net attractiveness of investing in the UK rising from -12% to + 13%, ranking alongside India as the most attractive investment destination.
