The number of transactions in the Bitcoin memory pool (queue of unconfirmed transactions) has significantly decreased compared to the end of 2024, and observers believe that the idle memory pool indicates that a crisis is coming. The data shows that just over 5,000 transactions were waiting to be included in the Bitcoin memory pool this Saturday. The total number of transactions rose to 15,000 at press time, but it is still a far cry from the 150,000 transactions when the BTC price first broke through $100,000 at the end of 2024. Joao Wedson, CEO and founder of crypto data analytics platform Alphractal, said that the idle Bitcoin memory pool indicates the lack of retail participation in the market.
