According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum researcher Toni Wahrstätter co-authored proposal EIP-7983, which proposes to set the gas cap for a single Ethereum transaction at 16.77 million.
The proposal aims to reduce the risk of denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, optimize zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) performance, and balance overall gas usage efficiency.
