Li Yimei, chief executive of China Asset Management, said in an interview with Bloomberg that the launch of the crypto ETF on Tuesday opened the door for many renminbi holders looking for alternative investments, adding that she hoped Chinese mainland investors would have "new opportunities" to participate in the process in the future.
Han Tong-li, chief executive of Harvest Global, said in an interview that regulators would closely monitor the development of crypto ETFs in Hong Kong. Asked whether these products could be included in the plan to allow Chinese investors to invest in ETFs in Hong Kong, he said they wanted to control the risk. As long as they can accept the risk, I think the market will gradually open up.
