Fitch: The passage of the Trump bill does not change the benchmark forecast

Richard Francis, a senior director at Fitch Ratings, said the bill's passage would not significantly change our benchmarks, as Fitch has long anticipated large tax cuts in its benchmark fiscal projections. We expect the overall US government deficit to rise above 7 per cent of GDP next year and the debt ratio to approach 120 per cent of GDP by 2026.
