Bank of America: US stocks hit a new high as customers suffered their largest net sale in 10 weeks

The record high for the S & P 500 came as US stocks recorded their biggest net selling in 10 weeks, according to data compiled by Bank of America. Jill Carey Hall, a strategist at Bank of America, noted that institutional clients led the sell-off, while hedge funds sold for the second week and private clients for the first time in six weeks. He said clients sold in eight sectors, led by industrials and real estate, which had seen outflows for four consecutive weeks.
