Sam Altman hits back at Meta's aggressive poaching, saying the latter is "disgusting"

On July 2nd, according to Wired magazine, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman launched a counterattack against Meta's recent aggressive recruitment of AI talent. On Monday night, Altman issued a strongly worded response to OpenAI researchers. "Meta behaves in a way that is a bit disgusting," the response said. On Monday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the new superintelligence team, which includes some people from OpenAI. "Meta did hire some good people, but overall they didn't get the top talent," Altman said. "I can't remember how many people they tried to make here their chief scientist." He also responded that OpenAI was evaluating the compensation of the entire research team.
