According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency, Japan's economic regeneration minister, Ryo Akasawa, met with Commerce Minister Lutnik in Washington on the 27th local time. Japan and the United States started the seventh round of ministerial-level negotiations on the Trump administration's high tariff policy. The Japanese government said: "There were fruitful discussions. Continue to fully coordinate between Japan and the United States to reach an agreement that is beneficial to both sides." Akasawa did not speak to the media immediately after the negotiations. The talks between the two lasted about an hour. Taking into account that the partial suspension period of reciprocal tariff increases is until July 9, and that Japan will implement the vote counting in the Senate election on the 20th, for cars that the Japanese government regards as "national interest", Akasawa Ryo is demanding a significant reduction in the tax rate of tariffs.
