KraneShares, an exchange-traded fund (ETF) focused asset manager, is seeking to list a "Coinbase 50 index ETF" that will track the 50 largest digital assets by market capitalisation, having filed registration documents with the Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) on Friday.
Launched in late 2024, the Coinbase 50 Index is an index product regulated by the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the United States. The index's weights are reassessed quarterly, and its three largest holdings are currently 50% in Bitcoin, about 21% in ETH, and 9% in XRP.
