Crypto exchange Bitvavo receives European Union MiCA license

Crypto exchange Bitvavo has been granted a Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA) license by the Dutch financial marekt Authority (AFM) to operate in 30 countries in the European Economic Area. Since the regulatory system came into effect in December last year, many crypto companies have applied for this license. MiCA was implemented in 2023 and covers the crypto asset regulations of the 27 countries of the European Union and Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein.
