Putin said that Russia is ready to hand over the remains of another 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers to Ukraine. The Russian-Ukrainian exchange of detainees will continue, which creates conditions for substantive negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He also said that the two sides will maintain contact after the operation. Putin said he is open to contacts and meetings with Americans, including Trump. Acknowledging the US president's good faith in brokering the Ukraine crisis, he agreed with Mr. Trump that the meeting would take co-operation to a new level. Mr. Putin said prospects for economic co-operation were good and US companies were signalling their intention to return to the Russian market.
