According to Bloomberg, a senior German privacy regulator has formally notified Apple and Google that the Chinese AI service DeepSeek violates German law and is illegal content for transferring user data to China. German regulators had asked DeepSeek in May to take it down or take data protection measures, but the company did not respond.
