Bhutan's bitcoin reserves reach $1.30 billion, accounting for nearly 40% of GDP

On June 27th, Bhutan's bitcoin reserve has been valued at $1.30 billion, accounting for about 40% of the country's GDP. Satoshi ActFund CEO Dennis Porter called this a "crypto milestone".
Bhutan started mining in 2020 at the initiative of King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to tap into its abundant hydroelectric resources. Five years later, Bhutan has become the world's third-largest government holder of bitcoin.
