According to CoinDesk, Mastercard has partnered with Chainlink to allow 3 billion Mastercard cardholders worldwide to buy cryptocurrencies directly on the blockchain. The service integrates platforms such as Shift4, Zerohash, XSwap and Uniswap to enable data exchange between card networks and multiple chains through Chainlink's interoperability protocol.
This is another recent move by Mastercard in the cryptocurrency space, having previously launched stablecoin payments and crypto debit card services with MoonPay and Kraken, respectively.
