In comments on Truth Social, Trump thanked Iran for "giving advance notice", called its missile strikes on US bases "very weak" and called for an end to the conflict between Israel and Iran. He hinted that he had no intention of further military action to draw the US deeper into the war. He also claimed: "Iran has unleashed all its anger and hopes there will be no more hatred." Finally, he said: "Maybe now Iran can move towards peace and harmony, and I will enthusiastically encourage Israel to do the same." A White House official previously said that Trump's current goal is to end the conflict and plans to make that position clear to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. "We want a deal, we don't want another war," the official said.
