Richard Grenell, US president Donald Trump's special envoy, asked Elon Musk, the US entrepreneur who owns the platform, to open a Starlink satellite internet system in Iran for free "in the coming weeks", according to Xinhua News Agency. "Can you open Starlink to Iran for free in the next few weeks? My friends in Iran can't get information normally at the moment," Mr. Grenell asked, naming Mr. Musk. He added that he was personally willing to "donate" to the cause and believed others would do the same.
