OpenAI has secured another news licensing agreement in Europe, with the Financial Times of London joining publishers that pay for content. Like earlier OpenAI licensing agreements, the financial terms of the arrangement were not made public.
In terms of content licensing, the parties said the deal covers OpenAI's use of FT content to train artificial intelligence models and, where appropriate, display generated artificial intelligence responses generated by tools such as ChatGPT, which looks very similar to other publisher deals.
