The Central Bank of Iran has ordered all domestic cryptocurrency exchanges to limit their business hours after a cyber attack on Iran's largest cryptocurrency exchange caused losses of more than $90 million.
The new rules limit trading hours to between 10am and 8pm in what appears to be a direct response to the Nobitex hack, a move aimed at increasing oversight and reducing the likelihood of future incidents, especially during non-business hours when cyber security response times are slow.
Iran's central bank has ordered domestic crypto trading platforms to limit operating hours to 10:00 - 20:00.
