U.S. stocks closed Wednesday with the Dow initially down 0.1 percent, the S & P 500 index down 0.03 percent and the Nasdaq up 0.13 percent. Circle (CRCL. N) closed up 34.2 percent and Coinbase (COIN. O) rose 16 percent.
