US official: US fighter jets are patrolling over the Middle East

On June 13 local time, a US official said that US fighter jets were patrolling over the Middle East to protect people and facilities. Meanwhile, the US Navy had directed the destroyer Thomas Hudner, which is capable of defending against ballistic missiles, to sail from the western to the eastern Mediterranean. A second destroyer had also begun to move forward to be ready for the White House if needed.
