Global family offices up the ante private equity and crypto assets, gradually moving away from stock market dependence

According to BNY Wealth's Single Family Office Investment Insights 2025 report, two-thirds of global family offices with assets under management of more than $1 billion plan to increase their allocation to private equity funds this year, an increase of nearly 70% from 2024. At the same time, the share of equities in the investable assets of these institutions fell to 19%, a decrease of 28% annually. The report also notes that family offices are also exploring allocations to crypto assets to diversify their portfolios.
