Connecticut passes law banning state governments from holding or investing in virtual currencies

According to Bitcoin Laws, the US state of Connecticut has passed HB7082, banning the state from accepting, holding or investing in any virtual currency. The bill also imposes several new requirements on money transfer institutions. The bill was passed unanimously in both the House and the Senate without a negative vote.
