The U.S. Digital Asset Market Definition Act, the CLARITY Act, is under consideration by the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services and the Committee on Agriculture#2 "Prohibiting President Trump and his family from profiting from trading or promoting cryptoassets" was rejected. Chairperson Thompson said this is not the place to discuss presidential ethics.
The remaining considered amendments include:
amendment#1 "Full reauthorization of the CFTC (US Commodity Futures Trading Commission) " was rejected;
amendment#6 "To enable the CFTC to collect more fees from market participants" was passed.
Note: More amendments related to Trump are being proposed by the remaining members of the House of Representatives, the final outcome of the CLARITY Act has not been finalized, and current deliberations are still ongoing.
