On April 28th, in order to implement the Outline of the Development Plan of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, better meet the cross-border traffic needs of residents in the three places, and help the integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department has carefully summarized the management of vehicles in the two places in the early stage. On the basis of the situation, the vehicle management policy will be further optimized. On May 1, 2024, four convenient measures will be launched to cancel the relevant verification and tax payment requirements, extend the valid period of the index, optimize the exemption of non-operating cars, and relax the number of registered vehicles for the main driver.
