According to the Washington Post, the US state of California has filed a lawsuit over the Trump administration's order to deploy 2,000 National Guard troops to Los Angeles. The lawsuit claims that Trump overstepped his authority by invoking a law that allows the president to call in the National Guard in the event of a foreign "invasion" or "rebellion" threatening the US government, despite the objections of California Governor Newsom. The California attorney general said the lawsuit accuses Trump and US Secretary of Defense Hegseth of violating the 10th Amendment to the US Constitution. The amendment clearly defines the boundaries of the federal government's powers. (CCTV International News)
