BlackRock's total ETF trading volume is about to exceed that of State Street Bank

BlackRock is on the verge of overtaking State Street to become the largest ETF by volume, according to Eric Balchunas, senior ETF analyst at Bloomberg. This would be a major disruption, as State Street has held the top spot since day one in 1993. Ironically, BlackRock is about to be surpassed by Vanguard in terms of asset size.
