General Administration of Customs: China-Africa trade volume hits record high in the same period

On June 9th, since the beginning of this year, our country's economy has continued to recover and improve, and trade in goods has maintained a strong resilience under external pressure. Entering May, our country's import and export continued to grow, and in May, it achieved steady growth with 2 working days less than the same period last year. From the perspective of trading partners, the scale of China-Africa trade reached a record high in the same period. In the first five months of this year, our country's import and export to African countries 963.21 billion yuan, an increase of 12.4%, accounting for 5.4% of our country's total import and export value. Among them, exports 599.57 billion yuan, an increase of 20.2%; imports 363.64 billion yuan, an increase of 1.6%.
