Trump has ordered the head of the Federal Aviation Administration to repeal the ban on supersonic flight over land. The executive order also directs the Federal Aviation Administration to develop interim certification standards based on noise and repeal other regulations that hinder supersonic flight. Supersonic aircraft noise certification standards need to consider community acceptability, economic rationality and technical feasibility.
