Russian official: If Musk wants asylum, we can offer it

After a public spat between Mr. Musk and Mr. Trump, a senior Russian lawmaker jokingly suggested earlier today that Russia might grant Mr. Musk political asylum. "If he does [need asylum], of course Russia can," said Dmitry Novikov, the first vice-chairperson of the Russian State Duma for international affairs. Mr. Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, said earlier on the phone with reporters that the dispute was an internal matter of the United States and that the Kremlin believed Mr. Trump "would handle the situation himself."
