Metaplanet CEO plans to raise $5.40 billion to accelerate bitcoin strategy

Simon Gerovich, CEO of Metaplanet, announced in a post on the X platform that the company has made the largest equity financing in Asia's history to date to buy bitcoin, with a financing scale of 5.40 billion US dollars, aiming to accelerate the bitcoin strategy. Metaplanet's new goal is to reach 210,000 bitcoins by 2027.
