The State Council recently issued the "Notice on Carrying out the Fourth National Agricultural Census". According to the "Statistics Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Regulations on the National Agricultural Census", the State Council has decided to carry out the fourth national agricultural census in 2026. The "Notice" pointed out that the objects of the fourth national agricultural census are rural households in the People's Republic of China, including rural agricultural production and operation households and other households; urban agricultural production and operation households; agricultural production and operation units; villagers' committees; township people's governments. The main contents of the census include agricultural production conditions, grain and large food production, agricultural new quality productivity, basic rural revitalization, rural residents' living conditions, etc. The standard time point of the census is 24:00 on December 31, 2026, and the period data is the annual data of 2026.
