On June 3, according to an official announcement, the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) of the United Arab Emirates officially launched the first "Finfluencer" license in the region, aiming to regulate the creation of financial content on digital platforms.
It is reported that the license applies to individuals who provide investment advice related to regulated products or entities through digital or traditional media. Applicants are required to register and comply with relevant regulations. To encourage innovation, SCA announced that it will waive registration, renewal and legal advice fees for the service for the next three years.
H.E. Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, CEO of SCA, said that the license is not only a regulatory measure, but also a strategic response to the rapid development of digital finance, aiming to enhance market integrity, promote transparency, and create a trustworthy financial environment.
