The Trump administration has asked a federal appeals court to block a previous order by the District Court for the District of Columbia ruling that its tariff policy was "illegal". On May 29 local time, the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington, the capital, issued a preliminary injunction on the Trump administration's tariffs imposed on multiple countries under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.
