IG Group, a UK-listed trading and financial services firm, is expanding its presence in the digital asset space by launching cryptocurrency trading to retail investors. IG said in a June 2 announcement that IG customers now have access to 31 cryptoassets, including bitcoin.
IG's latest cryptocurrency product was launched in partnership with US crypto asset firm Uphold, which is regulated in the US and UK. The product is integrated on the IG platform and the IG Invest app, allowing customers to switch from crypto accounts to any other IG account, including stock trading accounts.
