June 1 (Reuters) - Ukrainian negotiators will present a proposed road map for reaching a lasting peace solution at the Istanbul peace talks on June 2, according to a Ukrainian document obtained by Reuters. The proposed road map begins with a comprehensive ceasefire for at least 30 days, followed by the return of all prisoners of war held by each side and Ukrainian children taken into Russian-controlled areas, after which Zelensky and Putin will meet. According to this blueprint, the Russian and Ukrainian sides, with the participation of the United States and Europe, will work to develop conditions that can be agreed between the two sides to end the war once and for all. The framework conditions for a peace agreement proposed by Ukraine in the document are basically the same as those previously proposed. These include no restrictions on Ukrainian military forces after a peace deal, no international recognition of Russia's sovereignty over parts of Ukraine it has occupied, and compensation for Ukraine. The document also states that the current front line position will be the starting point for territorial negotiations. These conditions are very different from what Russia has publicly demanded in the past few weeks.
