Although U.S. Rep. Patrick McHenry and Maxine Waters, among others, expressed optimism that the stablecoin bill could be passed, regulatory uncertainty persists. Cody Carbone, vice president of policy at the Chamber of Digital Commerce, said that who should be the primary regulator for stablecoin issuers remains the key to unresolved questions.
